Does Thunder Egg have a shop?

Yes! We have two shops located in Manchester, UK. Our larger shop is on Oldham Street and our second shop is on the first floor inside Afflecks Palace on Church Street, both in the Northern Quarter.

Do you have any special offers?

We regularly run promotions for our customers! If you would like to keep up to date with all of the latest discounts and vouchers, please sign up to our mailing list or check our social media pages (links at the bottom of this page)

Can I redeem an offer if I have already placed my order?

Orders cannot be amended once they have been placed unfortunately.

Which size will fit me?

Please see our size guide tab on each individual product. We include any specific sizing advice that differs from the standard brand size guide in the item description. If you are still unsure, get in touch by emailing and we will be happy to advise with further sizing info!

Do you sell plus sizes?

We do indeed! If you click 'clothing' in the navigation at the top of this page, you can find our 'Curve' section in the categories. This is a collection of styles from across all of the brands we sell that are available in a UK size 18 +

In the case of most brands we stock, we are the stockists rather than the manufacturers of these items. This means we are only able to stock the size ranges created by each separate brand.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide!! Please find our up to date shipping policy.

Does Thunder Egg use dropshipping?

We do not sell any dropshipped stock. Thunder Egg has been a physical brick & mortar store in Manchester city centre since 1990. Our stock is hand-picked by our staff and pre-ordered from our suppliers months in advance.

We do not advertise, list or sell any items to customers until it is in stock and ready to dispatch from Thunder Egg HQ in the UK

How long will my item take to arrive?

We aim to dispatch orders within 2-3 working days of them being placed. Please check our Shipping Policy for all up-to-date information

  • UK: Royal Mail Tracked 48, usually delivered within 2 working days from dispatch
  • Europe: Royal Mail International Signed For, usually delivered within 3-7 working days from dispatch
  • USA & Rest of the world: Royal Mail International Signed For, usually delivered within 7-10 working days from dispatch

Where is my item?

All of our parcels are sent via a tracked service. This tracking information will be sent to you via the email address you provide when placing the order so please ensure this is correct.

If your parcel is taking longer than expected, please drop us an email to and we will do our best to track it down for you!

How do I return an item?

Can I return my online orders in your stores?

Yes, but only to our Oldham St shop. Please read our returns policy and if your item is in a returnable condition and within the returns period of 14 days then pop it into us.

PLEASE NOTE, We can’t issue a refund back onto a credit or debit card in store, we will issue the refund via the online payment method you used once the item has been left with us.

Do you have any job vacancies at your shops?

When a job vacancy becomes available we will post it on our social media accounts first so make sure you follow us!

Do you take work experience applications?

Unfortunately not at this time, sorry!

I'm working on a student project, please can I interview you / take photos in store?

We aim to accommodate as many student projects as we can at Thunder Egg but we get a vast amount of requests!

We politely ask that if you are interested in using our shop as a case study, you drop us an email to before your visit. This way we can invite you in at a quiet time so we can offer more assistance with your requirements.

Unfortunately we will not always be able to help if project requests are made on the spot in store.

I saw an item in your shop but I can’t see it online, can I still order it?

Please send an email to and describe the item to us with as much detail as possible (brand, colour, print, size etc)! We will do our best to locate it and if you would like to order it we have various payment options available.

The size I want isn’t available online, will it be available in store?

Our online stock generally reflects the stock levels in our shops too, but please feel free to get in touch and check with us as we occasionally have single items or sizes left in store. You can set up 'back in stock' notifications for out of stock sizes/products and we will notify you via email once they have been re-stocked!

I have a question about a product I purchased in one of your shops.

If you have any questions or queries about a product purchased in store, please pop in and see us, or get in touch by emailing We will aim to respond to your email within 48 hours (within the shop opening times).
